Fantastic Value
I have been sleeping on this mattress for a month and it is very comfortable; definitely a good value for the price.I like my mattress on the firm side and this one definitely is. However, the layer of latex foam gives nice even support everywhere so it is still pleasant to lie on. My old mattress was a Beautyrest by Simmons; the model I bought was quite firm and took several months to break in. This Sunrise Bedding latex hybrid mattress has the same individually pocketed coil design as the Beautyrest and is quite comparable. However, it was great to sleep on from day 1. For reference, I am a 185-lb male.Since the Beautyrest is a thick mattress with box spring underneath, it is slightly more comfortable (the Sunrise is an 8-inch mattress setting on a hard wooden platform). However, the Beautyrest was also 6 times the price of this mattress. My guess is that a 1"or 2"foam mattress topper would lessen or eliminate the small difference in comfort between the two.I would recommend this mattress to anyone who likes them firm and it's definitely a fantastic value for a guestroom.
