Perfect foam mattress (for us)
After researching customer reviews, warranties, flame retardant covers (fiberglass, chemical, etc.), trying mattress brands in-store - we finally settled on this mattress. We found it on a fiberglass-free top 5 or 10 mattress article unearthed from somewhere and thought with this price point and warranty/return policy we could afford to give it a shot. I am so glad we did. Literally the best decision we made this year and I write that with zero sarcasm. We were upgrading from a queen, hybrid, dual side mattress (would never recommend) to a king.The unpacking is not like you see from most box mattress videos, primarily because it didn't come boxed. It was vacuum sealed like a Swiss roll and bagged multiple times. My biggest negative actually is that for you to position it on your frame and unroll it prior to releasing the seal, it rolls out upside down :| We gave it about two days to do its thing, no smells and it instantly filled out. The corners from the inner 'roll' never became sharp but it's hardly noticeable and certainly nothing we feel. Unlike some reviews from foam mattresses (maybe even this mattress), we didn't have a time period where we felt sore adjusting to a full foam bed. That could be because our old one was so insanely awful, but this felt like heaven from night 1 and by the end of the first week most of our hip/back pains from the old mattress were gone. I should note mattress comfort reviews are subjective so it's hard to gauge your own possible comfort from someone else's, and we are in our 30s with no previous hip/back/neck injuries thus far. But I am a fan of memory foam toppers on a medium spring bed (dislike plush or sinking into a mattress in any way), my husband loves VERY firm mattresses. We worried this wouldn't suit both of us, but amazingly it does. Where I used to wake up 5+ times a night and my husband tossed a lot, we practically sleep like the dead now. I don't dread going to bed and I feel good when I wake up. I don't think people realize how much a crap mattress can degrade your entire day and how well a good one can help, I didn't.I'm not saying this is the one for you, but it's absolutely worth a shot. We did purchase straight from the website due to a running discount, but I don't think they offer the Medium Firm option if that's what you're looking for.
